Since moving closer to London I’m slowly beginning to appreciate it. Whilst I sometimes find it’s pace over-bearing and claustrophobic, at other times I find myself enjoying it’s business. Most of all though, it’s the history and architecture I’m learning to appreciate.
Growing up I was always for change and the new, naively I didn’t think much of tradition. At the end of my teens I developed an understanding of it. But it’s not been until I moved closer to London, specifically Windsor, that I developed an appreciation and fondness for it.
Looking through the latest Pictory Mag, I was reminded of my London. The one thing that shines out through these images, is that the history and the architecture are what make London. It’s not just a city on the cutting edge of many different industries, it’s a city rooted in centuries of history. A history that runs through the veins and should not be dusted under the rug in favour of the new. Instead, is should be looked at, revelled in and enjoyed.
